Dress Revamp

I bought this bib dress a few years ago because I liked the color and pattern of the fabric. Of course, I never wore it. It made me look like a sack of potatoes. The other day, I came across it in my closet and decided to give it a makeover. So I went in search of a matching t-shirt which I found at the local Kohl's.

Vor ein paar Jahren habe ich ein Latz-Kleid gekauft weil mir die Farbe und das Stoffmuster gefiel. Natürlich hab ich's nie getragen, weil ich darin wie ein Kartoffelsack aussah. Vor ein paar Tagen hab ich dann in meinem Schrank das lang vergessene Kleid wieder entdeckt und mich entschlossen es einer Verbesserung zu unterstellen. So bin ich dann auf die Suche für ein passendes T-shirt gegangen. Ich hab auch gleich eins bei Kohl's gefunden.

Then I cut off the bib of the dress

Ich hab den Latz abgeschnitten

and the bottom of the newly acquired t-shirt

und den unteren Teil des T-shirts

sewed the two together, added an elastic to the empire waist, ... and here is my new dress! 

die zwei Stücke zusammen genäht, ein Gummiband zur Empire-Taille dazugefügt, ... und hier ist mein neues Kleid!

I like it a lot better now.

Es gefällt mir jetzt viel besser.
