Yellow Turquoise and Freshwater Pearls

I made these two simple necklaces and earrings from yellow turquoise beads (semi-precious stones), freshwater pearls and sterling silver findings. Nothing fancy, but I really like the way they turned out.

Ich habe diese zwei Halsketten und die Ohrringe aus gelbem Türkis (Halbedelstein), Frischwasserperlen und Sterling Silber hergestellt. Einfach, aber trotzdem schön.  

Another Pair of Flip-Flops

I couldn't resist embellishing another pair of flip-flops. This time I used an old Halloween costume of my daughter's to make the flowers. Since the fabric is much thinner, I couldn't just cut strips for the flowers. Instead I made a fabric tube like this:

Ich konnte nicht widerstehen, noch ein Paar Flip-Flops zu verschönern. Diesesmal nutzte ich ein altes Halloween-Kostüm von meiner Tochter, um die Blumen zu machen. Da der Stoff ziemlich dünn ist, konnte ich nicht einfach Streifen für die Blumen schneiden. Stattdessen habe ich einen Schlauch genäht:

My First Tea Cozy

I followed the directions on rustybobbin, measured my teapot, and made my own pattern. It worked out to quite well, I think. Have a look!

Tea Time

I LOVE tea. I drink it every day and take pleasure in discovering new aromas.
Yesterday, I went to a local British Tea Room for lunch with a friend. It was such a relaxing, wonderful experience. Dainty porcelain teaware, finger sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, great tea, lovely company, and classical background music. What else could one ask for?

I was inspired to create something tea related after the visit. A tea cozy, I decided would be a practical thing to make, especially since I don't own one. I went in search of instructions and inspiration on google and flickr. I was amazed at how many tea cozies were knitted or crocheted. I think I will sew one though. Amethyst-Brandy Necklace

I am not sure brandy is a color, but that's what I think of when I look at the deep, rich yellow-brownish beads in this choker. I made this necklace from a variety of glass beads that I strung on extra strong beading thread and then crocheted.
I figured I'd show you another one of my necklace creations, since so many of you have favorably commented on the blue giveaway necklace. Thanks for all your nice comments; I really appreciate them!  I will be drawing the giveaway winners later tonight and announce/contact them tomorrow. 

Ich bin nicht sicher, dass Brandy eine offizielle Farbe ist, aber wenn ich die warmen gelb-braunen Perlen in dieser Halskette anschaue, kommt es mir als erstes in den Sinn. Ich habe diese Halskette aus vielen verschiedenen Glasperlen gemacht, die ich auf extra starkem Faden aufgereiht und dann gehäkelt habe.
Ich wollte euch noch eine meiner Halsketten Kreationen  zeigen, da ich so viele nette Kommentare für meine blaue Giveaway Kette bekommen habe. Ich werde heute abend die Gewinner auslosen und dann morgen bekannt geben und kontaktieren.
